NASHVILLE (AAA: 22-13; Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat Portland 9-3. Adam Heether homered and drove in five runs for Nashville.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 18-18; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 8-2 to Tennessee. Austin Bibens-Dirkx (’06) was the winning pitcher for the Smokies. Brett Lawrie (’09) had two hits and drove in both runs for Huntsville.
BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 14-21 overall; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees beat Daytona 6-2. Mike Fiers (’09) struck out 11 over six innings for the win.
